Hey all.
ive been using nopox for 11 weeks with no reduction yet.
nitrate is 50
dosing 12ml per day via doser.
I upped it just 1ml per day a week ago and I’m getting stringy bio material growing in sump.
my heater is 600w and in a small first chamber, next to this the pink bio material is going mental, turned into a thick blob growing every day.
is the nopox feeding this, is it good, ie binding the nitrate up, should I harvest it or remove it?
thanks

I would also remove it. If it is that much bacteria, also make sure your getting enough O2 in the tank. Are you running a skimmer?

Cheers both, nice pic of the blob.
im just going to monitor it, I think it’s the bacteria I’m trying to grow, has to grow somewhere so sumps better, 11 weeks is ttp so I’m going to Chuck loads of phosphate in.
