Pink spot is my favorite goby, and one of my favorite fishes. It is a watchman which pairs with shrimp.

Diamond goby is a not-that-closely related goby that doesn't pair with shrimp and feeds almost exclusively by sifting sand to find pods. It is not a watchman.

Pink spot will sift a little, and burrow a little too. But not to the extent that sand sifting gobies do.
