pink pocillopora

My pink pocillopora is taking over the tank. It seems like "spores," for lack of a better word, have attached to other rocks and began to grow. They're growing all over the place and growing pretty quickly. Is this normal behavior for this type of coral? Is there a way to make it stop?

Pocillopora can reproduce via polyp bail out. The only way to stop the spread is to remove the coral.

You can apply kalk paste or superglue gel to the coral buds but that will become too cumbersome at some point.

The main piece isn't dying or anything, it's doing great. Maybe a strong current caused it to spread. I have no idea what I'm talking about, just speculating.

I'm sure multiple factors can go into polyp bailout. Some water parameter is out of whack, or the wrong flow, or maybe it's doing well and wanted to spread?

Polyp bail out is just one means of this corals reproduction, with Pocllipora polyp bail out it is not a sign of stress, just world domination.
