Am I missing something, I'm not a wrasse expert, but I'm seeing the price of this fish vary greatly. I know there's a difference between male and female, but otherwise, why the huge price difference. I saw one at an lfs priced at $70, i thought it must be some sort of mistake. Then I see the same fish on a wysiwyg posting at TSM for $229. When I say the same fish I mean identical, so male/female/supermale whatever, it was the same. So what' up, anybody

I have this fish and would not pay $229 for 2. I paid about $80 for mine. I think $70 is a great price. But you can see crazy prices. I think you just have know what livestock is worth these days. $229 is highway robbery.

I wish I could find one for $70-80 around me...

I would pay up to $150, but not much more than that.

I just bought one a couple weeks ago for $60 and he's in QT, eating like a champ. His colors are a little muted right now, but he looks great!

For a while they weren't readily available and they were bringing $200+ for a terminal male. They are everywhere now and the price has dropped a lot. Some vendors haven't caught up with the price drop it seems.

my lfs has one for $75, fully qted too. i felt bad for the owner, he was kinda floored he hasn't had any takers for it and has had it for a couple of months

I went back to that lfs today and was likely going to get it, but actually passed on it and got a lubbocks instead. Will be my 1st fairy wrasse

Tsm has a great QT protocol, and these fish are notorious for internal parasites so there’s that
That;s good to know and definitely worth a premium price, I wondered how much more I would pay for a qt'd fish, not that much more for me. I treat everything for internal parasites, seems like today you can say everything comes in with internal parasites.
