I only have one wave maker on the right side, so yeah the left side would be lower flow I’m pretty sureI am not a pipefish expert, but I have kept them in my tanks. I have always kept pipefish in relatively low flow environments because that is how I have seen them in the wild. I am not sure if that would vary on the species. Is there a lower flow section of the tank.
You can also adjust the height of the wavemaker as well. Surface agitation will help with the DO levels in the tank, but may also impact the pipefish, so it may be something to experiment with.I only have one wave maker on the right side, so yeah the left side would be lower flow I’m pretty sure
