I recently just added a pistol and ywg to my 20 gallon reef tank for the sole purpose of having them pair. The pistol shrimp is about 1.5x the size of the goby if I had to guess and I'm worried that might make pairing difficult. I forgot what species the shrimp is but I am hoping its not one of the species that don't typically pair after learning that was a thing. It is grey with two black spots on the tail. Ywg sits in the same burrow as the shrimp but they don't seem to pay any attention to each other. Just looking for a bit of reassurance that I'm not stuck with a shrimp that will make pairing impossible.

Is it a bullseye pistol shrimp? They tend not to form commensal relationships with gobies.

No the whole shrimp is grey and from what i remember it has two dots on the end of its tail and the claws look like they have some blue on them. Considering it has chased my goby away a few times I'm assuming they wont match.
