Pistol shrimp id

Can someone id this pistol shrimp? He never digs in the substrate, actively explores the tank and won't pair with my yellow watchman goby.

Also if he will pair with a goby, can you tell me which one? It is easier to find gobies at my lfs than pistol shrimps

Looks like a tiger snapping shrimp. There are many examples of them pairing with YWG. How long have they been in the tank together?

They've been in the tank together for a week but I dripped them in the same bucket. They stay in two separate caves no more than five inches from each other but won't pair

My randalls pistol and red banded goby took 2 weeks to pair. Be patient it will probably happen.

Alright. I'm just hoping it's quick because I changed the sand out for them two weeks ago and are hoping the pair and start digging before the bottom layer becomes aerobic.

@Mike N This is definitely not a tiger pistol shrimp, those are brown and white. This is Alpheus armatus and they do not pair with gobies. Instead they pair with a specific species of anemone, but will also live solitarily if the anemone isn't present in an aquarium.

Back with a follow up question. Do you think I can add a goby pairing shrimp, or would it have problems with the AA snapping shrimp?

Update: I went back to the lfs and got a tiger shrimp (yes I am certain this time) so hopefully they will pair up. He is exploring the other half of the tank now

No, that was the wrong kind of pistol shrimp. I got another kind and they paired up two weeks later
