Pistol Shrimp moving too much sand?

I added a wheeler goby and tiger snapping pistol shrimp. They are doing fine, the wheeler even hangs out with the shrimp sometimes.

Thing is, the dude is digging a lot of sand. In a way, I am glad, cause I could never get to the back and move it around. Just wondering if he moves too much will is screw with my water chemistry?

I have a fluval 13.5, 13+ pounds of rock. Adding a 10 gal. sump/refugium soon. Tank has been up about a month. I do frequent water changes, at least 25-30% week.

I also have a hang in back marineland refugium.

The sandbed is about two inches. Everyone doing great, just wondering if too much of a good thing is bad. Keeps the snails busy and the 3 small hermets too.

Already knocked one over. My daughter really loves it though, so I will deal with it for her sake.

This is one of the best things about reefing if you ask me - shrimp/goby partnerships and all the shrimp activity.

I feel your pain I have 2 shrimp with one goby, they're always with each other and never stop digging

Yeah I have two tanks, a pistol/goby pair in each--in one tank, i never see the pistol (just hear him) and he doesn't move that much sand...the occasional hill...no big deal. But in my bigger tank, I have a larger pistol, with a pair of watchman gobies, and we are constantly at war over interior design choices. He even has been known to steal frags and take them under the rock structure. I do love them th0ugh. It just makes it important to keep a close eye on that part of the tank, or he is likely to bury some of my fave LPS
