I added a small Pistol shrimp 2 days ago in front of a hole i made in a front rock. 2 Hours later i added a Sailfin Goby. The PS is in a nice burrow under a rock 7" from front glass, have only seen him out twice.
The Goby is in the same front row, but 10" away under a different rock.

Neither of the have eaten anything, what can i do? Turkey baster maybe ? or will they be ok ..?

Can you post a pic of this goby that you got? If it’s indeed the right goby identity, I doubt they would pair up.

Maybe you got a Randall goby?

As far as feeding goes, have you tried frozen? I find target feeding with a turkey baster scares them more than anything.

I feed the tank with various frozen, but by the time it gets to the sand its gone.

Okay that’s neither Randall goby nor sailfish blenny. Can’t say what it is for sure but it’s a goby for sure.

Give them a little time to pair up.

Stop the flow and Feed frozen. Should work

What kind of pistol shrimp? Randall/candy cane tends to pair better with amblyeliotris than tigers. It took my aurora and tiger over a year to find each other.

How big is the tank
Red Sea Max E 260 with Sump about 350 Ltr total. I intend to keep mostly SPS Montis and some softies lower down. Will probably on add a few more small fish ( wrasses etc) a possibly a Powder Blue to finish it off. Clean up crew arriving on Tuesday.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
