Pistol shrimp

I have a pistol hiding in my live rock. You can hear him bangin inside the rock and I can see him feeding but he NEVER comes out..

That's exactly what mine has done for the last three years. I haven't seen it in probably two.

I feed the tank mysis once a week. It has done a lot of sand scaping since I have owned it. Always fun to watch as it bulldozes and builds its burrows. My YWG is very protective of the shrimp.

I have a yellow watchman goby and added a dwarf pistol shrimp about two weeks ago. It doesn't seem the two have paired. I don't see the shrimp come out at all or near the goby even though they have both burrowed under the same rock.

I purchased both the YWG and pistol shrimp at the same time. They seemed to have paired up immediately but have now gone their own ways. Wish they would pair again. That is why I got them.
