Hi everyone. So I've noticed that an ivy looking plant has started growing in my GSP and looks to be trying to establish itself on my rock. I believe that it may be Caulerpa but I'm not 100% convinced. I don't run a refugium so I am unsure as to where it has come from as I have had the GSP a while.

Does anyone know what this is and how to deal with it?

I’m no expert but that looks like caulerpa to me.

+1 on caulerpa. I would take that rock out and scrub the gsp with a toothbrush and pull off all the roots of caulerpa. You can throw it away or put it in a fuge. Then keep an eye on the rock because it will probably come back

Thanks guys. I’ll give that a try. Fingers crossed it works

Either sponge or seagrapes ( caulerpa)
