Plate Coral Question

Hi all,

I bought a piece of live rock, and it turned out to be a plate factory.
It has "made" two plates so far. The large one used to be as colorful
as the newly fallen one. My questions are: 1. Why does the plate
Coral lose color as it grows? 2. Should I expect the little plate to
Also lose color? 3. Will all plates that call off this rock be replicas of
each other (color and all)?

I am not sure to be honest I have had one for 3 months now and its kept its color.

Yes, I was psyched once I identified it. At first, I was convinced that it was a pest anemone!
