Plates are some of my favorites! I've had luck keeping them in lower light and feeding NLS pellets a couple of times a week.

Does anyone know how to encourage the tentacles on the plate to open or what causes them to look hard? I have had the one plate for so long that is super vibrant, but for some reason will not get soft and open up it's tentacles, while the plate next to it is looking super juicy! I've tried moving it over long periods of time (of course being very gentle with handling it). At some points it will raise the tips but then go back to closing, even when i feed it eats up like a monster, but not tentacle extension. Always curious about this...

Mine is not doing so good at the moment [emoji45][emoji22]

This one caught my eye at my LFS but had no idea is would open up so gorgeous. They heavily discounted it because they thought it may have been dying due to 0 color at the time. Now in two weeks time it's vibrant! [emoji1360]
