Platygyra adjusting to new conditions?

I've had a platygyra colony in my tank for a few months, I noticed that one side of the colony has never had a feeding response, which is the side that gets the most intense flow, I added a piece of rock to block some of that flow. And while polyp extension has improved, there hasn't been a feeding response on the colony this night, though there was one the day I added the rock. is it just adjusting to the new flow, it could be getting ready to poop, as I do feed heavily. I'll give an update if they're is a response tonight. Any thoughts?

Well, they like low to moderate flow and bottom one third placement. It could simply be adjusting to the revised conditions, yes.

Anyway, I decided to move the rock I added, it was used so it might have contained high phosphates or some other element. The platy was closed up and I decided that it was doing good enough without the rock, thanks anyway though, I don't want to risk my profile picture coral.
