I can’t find any info on the nominal growth rate of a Platygyra. I’ve got it close to the bottom of the DT. Current flow in that location is medium to low. What is an optimal growth rate for these.

Hum? I don’t have any chalice and only one Favia. In the picture there is a plug of Zoas above the platy that won’t fully open and I think it’s from too much flow in that area. Plus, if I don’t move it now, eventually that green encrusting Monti is going to kill them. I was thinking move them down where the platy is, but I just read platy’s have long stingers. Guess I’ll have to move it to the other side of the tank.Hard to quantify with numbers and sizes, but growth rate is similar to favia/favites, if not a bit faster.
If you don’t know how fast those grow, I would say twice as fast as the average chalice coral.
Nice. The one I have lives well on my sand bed and I have had it for a few years but my chalice grows faster than the platy.

Thanks
That’s because it’s a Hollywood stunner lolThe one I have lives well on my sand bed and I have had it for a few years but my chalice grows faster than the platy.
