Got this crab as a hitchhiker in a copepod order.

He is in a 2 gallon on my desk all by himself. He is only a pest when he moves my frags and rocks around..lol. He thinks he's the Bomb.

Pest. Any hitchhiking crab from the Xanthidae or Pilumnidae families are considered not reef safe. Many reefers would remove. If you choose to keep him, keep him fed, and that should reduce potential problems.

Look at the pinchers. From what I see they are dark tipped and pointed. NOT reef safe :( Banish it to your sump or to the LFS. Better suited for a fish only tank.

I have had him for 4 months in my pico and aside from moving stuff, he hasnt hurt the frags or macroalgae. Its just him and a couple snails.
