Please help identify. I’ve had this in my tank for about two years and the only thing that gets rid of it temporary is Chemiclean.

Could be some species of Cyano. Does it ever get "air bubbles" or just snotty like that. If just snotty/slimy with no bubbles and it's more focused on the sand bed I'd think some type of Cyano.

Vacuuming your sandbed regularly might help combat it.
