Please help idiot connect to P4

I work away from home....and when I am home (thankfully) I have rarely had to make changes with this system. I am having trouble connecting to my P4. I have it connected to my laptop with USB and it will not connect??? I also tried wifi connection...added a new device, placed my wifi router IP address in the upper left pane and it still will not connect. Please point me in the right direction! Unfortunately I am not very computer savvy but I did have this P4 and Doser and lights working great for over a year until now and just cannot remember how I got connected initially.

Ok I am now connected via usb, still wondering why wifi is not connecting.....at least I am feeling less stupid at this point!! LOL

This video will provide you the initial setup onto your home network if your connect to it and using the GCC Desktop Software.

Thanks for the replies guys.... going without anything but bare bones internet for a couple months at a time...(out at sea) you can sort of forget what is available for these type of fixes... I appreciate it!
