Please help me pray.

My mother was suffering from lung cancer and has been in and out of the hospital constantly. 6 months ago I stood in her room when her doctor told her she had less than 4 months to live. I asked people to help me pray then and here we are 6 months later. They're telling her now that cancer is no longer a concern at all (wow!) but now they're saying that her lungs are so shot that they don't give her much longer and her lungs keep filling up with fluid. Please help me pray for my mom.

I know many of us have a loved one that may be suffering. I would love to pray for your loved one too if you put some information about them on this thread.

Sorry to read about this - your mom is in my prayers. My brother-in-law is recovering from bone cancer. While his hair is slowly growing back we continue to pray that he will not have the cancer appear again. There are websites you can get involved in where others have gone thru what you/your mom is going thru. I'll have to look some up and post back here.

Shes in my prayers. A little encouragment for you... My wifes best friend her dad was diagnosed with Stage 2 lung cancer and was giving 2 months to live. That was 5 years ago and he is still alive. Its all in how your body reacts to Chemo and radiation. I wish you the best of luck and hope she does well.

You hear those stories all the time. "Doctors gave them a month to live and they're here today--5 years later".

They rececntly gave her two options...do chemo once more and possibly extend her chances...or do nothing and live for a month. I believe she's undecided at the moment because she's tired of pain. I want her to fight, but I'm not sure what she wants.

All I can keep doing is praying. I appreciate you guys praying too.

I really didn't notice that there was already a prayer thread in this forum and this really belongs there. My mistake.

My mom ended up passing last Thursday. I prayed that God watch over my mom and I know that my prayers are now answered. It's nice to know that she doesn't have to deal with doctors, oxygen/feeding tubes, and pain.

I wish she could have been around to watch me have kids and watch how they grow up. I guess she'll still be watching them, but just with a way better view.

Thank you guys so much for the prayers and I'll have to go check the prayer thread and see if I can lend a hand to you all.
