I've got a rather large (10-12") wall hammer that I've had for about a year. I had a purple tang that developed a taste for it about 4 months ago which caused it to not open. I got rid of the tang about 2-3 months ago but the hammer still doesn't open. Other euphyllia sp in my system are doing very well. Is it possible that it's developed some sort of infection or disease? I do not see any brown jelly. I will try and get a photo up.
