So the little tube things in the bags are marine pure rock can i ask what the bigger blocks are?

If the leather is still solid and firm not mushy like it is rotting it could be getting ready to shed but it should have good water flow around it.

It seems as my tanks going through a little cycle came home re tested everything again and ammonia is lowering and i have higher nitrite and nitrate today

I took it out it is not in shed i peeled a lil off and took flesh away its rotting and smelt gross

I had a similar issue once in the beginning at the leather coral, its gone. The mistake was, I was checking Salinity in Brix refractometer and the actual salinity was 52ppt.
Hope you can also cross check the salinity apart from all the other suggestions. I have seen my leather coral with black peeling skin and after two days it was rotten and the whole tank was smelling.
