Please help!!??

I am new to reefing my tank is cycling and I am trying to get everything dialed in. I cannot get my skimmer to produce foam it has gone well over the recommended break in time and still nothing. I am not sure if it is too much water or what is happening. PLEASE HELP!!!!

^^^All of the above :) The skimmer removes organic compounds. Until your tank starts building up organics, you won't see much production from the skimmer. Corals, fish and food produce organics.
