PLEASE HELP

I am brand new to this hobby. My tank has been full for a month. I added 2 clowns last weeks after my cycle was complete. I always check on my tank before I leave for work and I couldn’t find my black clown! The orange bigger one was swimming frantically in the corner so I turned the lights in the room all the way on and my black clown was caught between my power head and the nem guard!!! This was the first night I ever turned all the lights off in the room where it was pitch black because I noticed they seemed very comfortable in the tank now. He swam away on his own when I turned the PH on but his eye on the one side looks like it was almost sucked out of his . Poor little guy :( he is so beautiful and they were getting along so well. Is it only a matter of time before he goes? Should I end his misery with the eye? I had to rush to work and did what I could to make sure they are stress free as possible with light intensity and flow intensity. Any advice is greatly appreciated

He also has no noticeable cuts. He also seemed to be swimming okay in the rock work just hiding . The orange one was swimming around like a crazy person once he was freed. I don’t know if I should leave work and take him out and go buy a new tank to put him in. God I feel heartbroken that it was my mistake that got his injured

If the eye is hanging out, there will be no remedy
If it’s protruded, Maracyn one
. Can it survive with one eye - yes
Larger one is likely female and dominant persay
As long as fish eats, it stands a chance

The eye isn’t hanging out. Just looks like it is swollen almost. I tried target feeding him some frozen mysis before I turned the lights out and he seemed to nibble on a couple pieces.

Should I tell my wife to leave the aquarium lights off for today and just have the room lights on?

You are doing the right thing trying to mitigate stress. I would leave the bright lights off. Just my humble opinion.

Just called the wife and told her to cancel the light schedule today. She said he seems okay for now. He’s swimming with the female in their little low flow area in the rock work. This hobby is not for the faint of heart!

Here he is currently. So heart wrenching this morning to see the female all stressed but they seem so peaceful now. Let’s hope he makes it out of the next few days!
