I just recently spotted this deep inside one of my rocks. At first I thought it might be aptasia but when it moves, the red part moves like fronds instead of "arms". It's definitely red and seems like a leather type of coral but I'm sure it's not. It is growing in a fairly dark environment.

Sorry the pic is horrible but I can't get a decent shot deep in there. It's already zoomed in too much to make much out of it but its the only way to even capture it. It's about a quarter size in estimation and I can only see that part peeking up.

The one thing I am investigating is if it's a small part of my fire shrimp's leftover molt where a piece of it is stuck and hanging a certain way. Probably not but sure is red...

Oh you're gonna laugh at this one...I decided to try and get my coral feeder in there to blow on it. It moved and out popped a fragment of a molt. I'm such a newb....
