Plumbing Question

I want to plumb my tank with PVC. My bulkheads are 3/4" return and 1" drain. My question is should i go ahead and plumb my return with 1" and do my return at 1-1/4" ?

Or should i just stick to the same size as my bulkheads

I have used the size that is already there. But if your pump requires bigger piping, then go a head and plum it bigger and dial it down at the bulk head. My current setup is 1.5" pvc but my bulkheads are only 1". I used a bigger return pump and plumbed in my cal reactor and biopellets.

Is it a mag pump? I think they recommend that you bump it up for better flow.

no it is not a mag drive pump
