I have a Red Sea 3XL 900 and I am looking to move the sump from underneath and go from mm to inches. Can somebody tell me the pipping size , drain and return for the 900 . The outsides diameter on my pipes is
25 and 40 mm . What transitions should I order ?

Metric to Standard PVC Union - Slip X Slip

Try BRS....seems pretty cheap there
I did call BRS , they have it , Coral Vue as well, I just din’t know the dimensions I should order, and they didn’t know to recommend , I can only measure the outside diameter on my pipes. The tank it’s running.

I have all those diagrams and parts numbers, I am not looking to order more in mm I want to know the transition size , from what in mm to what in inches? Not even Red Sea websites don’t sows any dimension. I have emailed them with the plain question “ what size are my pipes on my specific tank and they ask me to give them the credit card for $1 deposit before they answer my question! It’s mind boggling! I have paid for their product they should give me plain details! I will think very hard before order another Red Sea product.

25mm is 1” (25.4”) and 40mm is roughly 1.5” (1.57) but that’s external dimensions

I know that too , but that’s what I was able to measure, outside diameter on the drain 40 and return 25 mm. I was under the impression that the size pipe reflects the inside diameter.
