Hi all,

water parameters are below

Alk 7.1 I’m using tropic Marin synbiotic salt
No3 zero
Po4 .02

I had cyano/dinos a few months back. My frogspawn and hammer aren’t opening up as much as before. I do dose tropic Marin phosfeed and all for reef. I feed reefroids on occasion.

I think I am feeding a lot but no change.
I have 9 fish in my 30 gallon tank… have a mixed reef tank.

How product should I dose for nitrates?

Thanks

If I was in that situation, I’d feed more or dose some N.

The testers have margin of error and calibration differences.

I usually test and send out and ICP so I know if my testers drifted. And catch anything else.

I ran into the same problem but was using the bioactif salt which I no longer use just for the fact it bottomed out N&P despite how much is feed. So I switched back to pro reef and can actually hold numbers now. With Pro reef salt I was using plus NP or NP Ballance too, and tossed that in the garbage as it drop pH like nobody's business. I didn't see any benefit from it except hardly any P and undetectable N which I know is how it works and corals looking somewhat sad. So now there's Nothing like using good ol' reefroids and calcium nitrate whenever things would start to get to low.
