I’ve had this green Pocillopora for a while now. Some of the branches are have neon green and showing growth. The bottom is completely bleached out for the most part, but I have noticed some polyps extending from the base as well.

Should I just leave it and let it do its thing? I’m sure as it grows and branches, the base won’t get as much light causing bleaching.

This is my first branching sps other than various plating and encrusting montis

Do you have a picture of it?
Are you sure it's bleaching and just not dying from lack of light? This is normal by the way once a piece gets shaded, the flesh dies off.

That looks like more than just shading, it looks like stn. Has the white part been gradually climbing up? If yes then I would suggest to frag a healthy piece off.

slow tissue necrosis. Personally I would frag a healthy piece off before it dies completely, I'm not aware of any way to stop it. Maybe some others will have idea's for you, good luck.
