Hello- is it ok for my pods to sit in some direct afternoon sunlight (in my house) while I wait to add them to my tank tonight? Wasn’t sure if this is ok or not. They are at room temp

No issues as long as they stay room temp and don't heat up too much but if you're inside with AC that won't happen. Just pop the cap or top off so they can get some oxygen.
