Hehehe, I loved England when I was at Mildenhall... So much history there. We went all over- Canterbury, London, etc... Best TDY ever, imo. And ALL the alcohol I ever got or saw imbibed was rreeaalllyy cold and awesome...My dad was born in Slough in the Bucks, too, so I got to track down family I had never seen. Didn't get to see my mom's side though because they were from Cork, Ireland.

I won a bunch of pounds in a gambling storefront at a mall in London, and had no idea that I had won like over $100 US, because the machine was just giving me what I thought was change (pounds). I won so much because I was betting a coin that was really worth about a $1.70 at the time, and I thought it was worth less than a quarter...

:D
Laurie

Smile....Edward reminds me of Hugh Grant for some reason, its not just the accent but something in the looks and/manorisms too.

Yes, he gets that a lot. In fact his nickname in College was "Hugh Grant" because that was right around the time "Four Weddings and a Funeral" became popular and everyone thought he looked like him. I think he has a love/hate feeling about it. He's flattered when people first make the comparison but if they obssess over it or constantly joke about it, it becomes an annoyance.

I've been across the pond a few times and I've never seen them serve warm beer in the pubs so I kind of think thats more fiction than fact. I've probably asked you this before, but where in the UK are you Shelton? My husband hails from Dorset, Lyme Regis to be exact.

Sombody did, might have been Laurie though? :)

I'm in Lowestoft, Suffolk... Just down the road from Mildenhall :D

Cheers Shelton.
