I've been keeping sps for over a year or more, they do well and color is "ok" . Feeding frozen food daily, daily dose 2x of reef roids, and I have acropower and redsea reef energy on a dosing pump 4x a day. With all that being said, in was thinking of adding pohls xtra to the regimen but wanted to ask what others think about thr product.

Does pohls xtra add color? Polyp extension? Increase growth rate?

Thanks for your opinions, they will all be considered.

Reef Roids, acropower, Red Sea and you want pohls too? Man whatever happened to just feeding the fish? ;) I wouldn’t say you should need or even see much benifit from any of that stuff unless your running an uln system, but the pohls I am curious about as well. No one knows what’s in it so i am probably going to stay curious. I did start using it recently to see what it does and can’t really say for sure what it does, everything started getting on track before I started dosing it so it could just be corals looking better and growing normally. It smells kinda like vitamins. I have heard good things from some of the zeo users and haven’t seen anything bad so I will dose the whole thing and then when I stop I will be able to tell what it was doing if anything.
I would be careful with adding so many products though, the nutrients and whatnot can sneak up on you or just cause issues themselves if the tank doesn’t keep up with them.

How the heck are your phosphates, reef roids alone will cause those numbers to climb let alone 2x a day

Lol, yea I want more! I just "feel like" my growth and color could be better. All the things I do currently work well, for me.

Po4 is .05, I only dose 1/8 tsp reef roids in AM and PM.

Same boat here! I dose reef roids in an auto feeder, I also dose oyster feast every morning, coral vitalizer, along with acropower as well. I have to dose all this just to keep a measurable amount of phosphate in the water! I did start dosing pohls extra. Corals are very vibrant and are doing very well! I can’t pinpoint it to pohls extra but probably helps the tank.
