Yes they are ok to have they are polyps and are only dangerous if you ingest them, boil them, handle then without the proper equipment and have open wounds. Nothing to be really worried about generally though.

Im not just got a little nervous when I heard it was poisonous but just like anything be careful with it I guess. I'm keeping it

True. Another question. Whats your guys thoughts on this. I have an empty 29 gallon tank with freshwater running in it now. Can i put salt in it and rock and let it cycle and use it?

Is it clean freshwater? You'd want RODI over tap water of course. Save you some algae trouble.
