I seen nothing with PB nor reef roids after 6 months.
My corals did not open their feeders and my torches spit out RR, the rest I found in my skimmer.
In Canada, PB is $30 and small RR is $30, man I expect my corals to dance for that price.
Back to phyto, zoo, amino and cyclops, this is what works for me.
Don’t get me wrong....I just could not see any difference.....many people state these products work wonders.

Hi I use RR in my 200 gallon tank twice a week and it works well. I have noticed the difference in grow of some corals especially my zoas. Never done the phytoplankton alone . I have had good success with RR but u need to be careful with phosphate levels if u use it too often. I dont spot feed my corals it would be too time consuming so I just dump a good amount and remove the filter sock for a few hours. Check out some pics of the zoas hope u enjoy. I am starting a new garden on Tuesday with some more exotic pieces thx

I second that on using RR and PB for diversity. I use them for the same reason. And my father was born in Midland Ontario. I am going to get a dual Canadian citizenship so I guess you could consider me Canadian Light. Enjoy the weekend all!

It is possible your tank already have excess nutrients / food / aminos so adding PB / RR didn't have much effect.
IMO, you should only add PB / RR if your corals are starving... Add stuff to fix an issue, not for fun.

Quite possible, hard to tell who benefits and to what degree.
It’s been years now with no extra feedings to anyone with anything, just what “they” can grab from the water column with no discernible negative effects.
On the flipside, nutrient levels stay easily in the band and hold firm, week over week.
But, to your point, if one has a deficiency in organics, feedings make sense.
I use the combination, when my phosphates are on the low end. Some corals did extended their tentacles after I added PB. My lobophyllias and trachyphyllia really got ready to feed! That is the desired result. Then of course a bit of RR and done.
