I had made a thread in the wrong place so im going to start over here. I have been in the reef hobby for about 10 years now. I started with a 75 gallon tank. And have moved up to a 120 4x2x2. We moved to a new house back in February and my tank crashed. I lost most of my coral and all my fish but on pajama cardinal. Now that we are settling in to our new house it was time to finish in our basement. Its has been a dream of mine to have my tank built into the wall. So this last Thursday i went for it.

And it has went nuts lol.

After i finished the ruff framing i started the inside. I covered all the walls in fiberglass shower board. It is mold and mildew proof and waterproof.

Than i started my new sump and fug set up.

Than i started working on my light hanging. I have never hung lights befor i allways had a hood for the to hang in.

Than done what i was most scared of i moved the tank and started setting every thing back up.

I used all schedule 40 hard pipe. Being a master plumber building highend gunite pools. I refuse to use flex or 90s or 45s. I heat bend all my plumbing when possible. So from sump to tank their is only 1 90 on the return pump.

I built an aluminum structure for my T5 lighting that was retrofit into the aquarium Hood.

Started moving the rock around the way i want it.

Been working on cleaning everything up. And putting stuff were it goes. Still lost of work to do.

looks really good, nice work. silly thing is i didnt realize you could heat bend pvc. i figured it would cause fatigue or something.

We do it all the time your just heating it up enough to bend it not melt it if you change the color of the pipe than it begins to lose strength. We pressure test all plumbing before we shot the concrete. Every 90 is like adding 10 foot of pipe.

My next thing is to add fish back to the tank. Here is a list of the fish i want to get.
Yellow eye tang
Red fin fairy wrasse
Lubock fairy wrasse
Orange face wrasse
Bi color angel
Coral beauty angel
And 2 fire fish.

And i would like to upgrade my lights eather 2 kessil a360w or 1 ap700. But cant make up my mind.

Ok who ever invented these little things is my new best friend.

Im about as done with wireing as im going to be im over it. I also added a LED flood light to have more light in the room. And wired the light up to be on a separate breaker. That way if the breaker trips on the aquarium equipment I will still have light in the room.
