How did you sort the hour difference? I have the same issue
I deleted the light with the issue from tuya, and unplugged the light, plugged it back in, did the setup again.

I think it was just due to having the app running for the first time when I set the first one up.

It hasn't happened to me since. I've gotten a couple more for other tanks, and have had power outages and what not without the issue returning.

Are you running a preset or your own settings? I find my water looks cloudy on sps dominant setting

Cloudy? That may be something to address that the light is revealing to you.

But yes, I took one of the presets, and tweeked it and saved it. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the times on the preset, so my initial thing I did was move the time ahead for on time to be 10AM instead of 8. From there I just tweak the channel intensity as I feel like.

Having played with the channels it’s the blue that causes the cloudy look
You can see cloudy water due to "junk" that fluoresces..
Which is much easier to see when you can't see.

Point is it's probably cloudy regardless of the light color.
You just can't tell as easily.

Well the software is much to be desired. It’s always something with these units. I have 5 in total. They don’t EVER sync in grouping and unreliable in my opinion.

The lights themselves are great and work well. They just need to work on software

Did you make a group for them? If they are out of sync they probably need to be re-added, not to the group, but the entire device removed and set up as new. I've got quite a few of them in 3 groups and they've been great. But I feel like when I set up for the first time they have a chance of being an hour off. Happened to my first light, and a friend's first 2 lights.

Well that’s the thing. It is a weekly-bi-weekly thing having to re-add them which I do do.

It’s an annoyance but not the end of the world.

My radions and A.I. don’t do this but that’s not really a fair comparison at all.

If I were to buy these again it would be for:
-a fish room frat tank set up
-maybe with a nicer none-wifi controller set up(would be cool if they did Bluetooth)

Not downing the lights themselves though as they are really nice. Just don’t care for the software glitches all the time.

When you say 100% night what do you mean? im sure its a typo. Have the same light on a 34g red sea about 8 inches above the water and edited the LPS and soft coral schedule. Ramps up to 70% Blue and Purple channels that ramp up throughout the day to 85% before ramping down Teal ramps up to 65% and White ramps up to 39% before ramping down. Wondering if I should lower the whites even more....

Edit... when you say night thays the purple channel/moonlights right?
Here's where I am currently at.

That's interesting! What's in your tank LPS? Euphyllia?

I've got some montipora digita and plating montipora, branching frogspawn, candycane and duncan.
How difficult is the candy coral? Is it hardy? And, if I'm not asking too much, if you knew the range of par. That too would helpful. Has your rl90 program jumped time an hour before? Thanks again. I love this community!

Only during initial setup was the time off by an hour. Every since even after outages they have kept time for me.

The candy is hardy, doesn't require high light but seems to like it. I do not know my par.

Thank you very much! I didn't know my par until last week. I bought a $147 par meter about a month ago. They didn't send it until after Hurricane Helene ripped through the southeast. Then it finally shipped from TN...weird! I like candycane coral, and with your opinion I'm going to pick up a Frag of it. So, thanks again!

It's survived some gnarly stuff. From farming onto a kenya tree patch for a few days to getting half buried in sand, to getting dinos sticking to it, to hermits making it their home. Idk an ID for mine, but I assume most are at least half as hardy. Mine was $10 from a local guy. It went from 1 head to 40 in a year. Fast grower, green with a little orange. Branching, but is at the moment just a sphere that's starting to extend it's skeleton out.

I am a fan of it and will be looking for some cool colors of them soon.

My Popbloom RL90s just came in last night

2 lights, arm mounted eith they arm kit that is included with that package. Over a 75G DT

Switched from 4 T5 ATI Bulbs in a very old rest on tank fixture. 2 actinic, 1 white, 1 grow purple.

The lights are mounted at the lowest position on the arm as any higher there is a lot of spill, the lowest seems to be the best.

My tank is rimmed, and the arms fit it just fine, but since my tank is against the wall it took a little trial and error to adjust them correctly to stop leaning.

The app they use is a smart home app, that at first was a liiiittle confusing, but seeing what they are doing to offer the customizability and automation I am impressed. They were easy to connect (I broadcast 2.4 and 5ghz), and once connected to the app the profile for the lights is auto loaded with programs and options that are named for and relevant to reefing, such as coral acclimation automation, programs based on tripic and tenperate seasons, lps softy and sps dominate, and some high intensity settings that have different color tenperatures, anti algae light schedules. The only issue I have had so far is 1 light runs an hour ahead on the schedule, but both are set for the same time automatically. You can also include smart home assistance such as google and alexa, or LGs system. It appears as though with our LG integration that when the TV detects movies we can have it automatically reduce intensity, not that I will do that, but in a fowlr tank would be a pretty dipe feature.

First thing I noticed after adjusting the position of the lights, is that at full intensity on the LPS/Softy setting, it looks almlost exactly like my T5s did, but with slightly more shadow and a very nice shimmer that was completely absent from my T5s.

The arms only has a single picture to offer as any sort of instruction, so it took me a minute to figure out how to assemble, not difficult. The arms are very well machines, which also impressed me as I expected some cheapness to these as it barely raised the price of the lights.

This thread will be to document my journey with them, and answet any questions anyone has.

Final notes would be, I definitely would have done 3 lights if my tank wasn't eurobraced, but it seems that this will be at least as good as what I am moving from, i have not tried 100% intensity of all 4 channels yet, which may very well be a lot brighter than my T5s were. Lastly, I run my lights from 10:30 to 10:30, and the default programs are more set for 8AM start time, but after some messing around with it I realized you can take any of the programs, and push the entire schedule forwards or back.
Hey, do you know if there is an attachment/wire to daisy chain the cords together into one outlet or do you need 4 separate outlets for each plug?

Hi all, I have just a couple of questions.
I like the thunderstorm feature but looks like you need to keep it active manually on the app, or it will just end as soon as you go back to the program.
So is there a way to include it in the custom program?
I have a mixed 120cm tank, and got 2 RL90. I haven’t bought a par meter. Do you think 2 will be enough?
And finally, did the purple caused you any algae issues?
Thank you all

How is your long term experience with these lights? I am considering 4 of these for a 150 that I'm setting up.
I love pop bloom I have 3 on my 22g nano tank. Im able to color and grow acros no issue I even colored up this hg within a few weeks. On top of that below surface par is 430ish. Left and right one are rl60s theyre “60” watt lights they have the same lens and same internals as the rl90 which I run in the middle.Only true difference is the power output.
