Popeye's New 125 Build

this is an amazing build. looking into upgrading to a 125 myself and the list of equipment you used has been helpful! did you get the 800 GPH overflow model? and if so how did you tune the return pump to match the flow?

also. how much would you say is cost to build the stand?
I bet the stand was real close to $70-$80

It's actually the 2400. Was planning a bigger tank when I bought it. I have an adjustable flow pump plus the valve on the drain line to the sump really dials it in.
do you think the 800 would work or should I size up?

They say 5-10 X turnover rate. So my sump plus tank total water volume is roughly 150gal so I figure between 750 to 1500 total flow. You'll be on the lower side of flow but alot of people say you want low flow in sump. I like a little more turnover

thanks for the advice. what is your livestock plan?

Not quite sure yet. I need to get on that though, do a little research for compatability and when to add wich ones in order for aggressiveness.

Tank is fully cycled!! Finally got around to ordering the 3rd hydra 32hd light I needed plus 4 60" T5 bulbs for hybrid light. They are showing up today, along with 2 part and coral dip. I'm itching to buy a couple fish and coral this weekend

Lights are on!!!
First I couldn't get one of the hydras to connect, read a bunch of posts and turns out I had to take cover off and press motherboard down because it was loose. That fixed it.
After I got all 3 connected one was lit all red, so I figured I would try same thing with it. Sure enough, it was loose too.
Good to go now!

AWC system up and running a couple weeks now!
I have no water or drains on the side of house fishtank is on so I had to get creative. Also I bought a new DOS quiet drive because the old style was way too loud to be running every 11 mins. 20 gal freshwater resavoir and 40 gal saltwater resavoir with RO lines running to laundry room.

Added quite a bit the last few weeks!
Also added pods and dosing phytoplankton and all for reef. Even more pods on the way.
Next is a cuc (snails and hermits). My urchin and starfish have been doing a decent job but it's time for a little help.
