I have an opportunity to acquire many different types of Acros locally. Excluding a WD & Homewrecker what would be some must haves or just plain cool looking.
1- old school acros
2- popular
3- new
Any info provided by pros that have been keeping acros for a long time would be appreciated, kinda need to know asap. I have a few ideas , just looking for opinions and from you guys on this.
Thanks AL

Well there’s so many. What’s available? Maybe that will help to narrow down what you “should” get. Or... make it simple: get them all. You will anyway

Exactly the point I was told " I have most new, popular, old school". Going by that I'm assuming alot. Just asking for some must have acro. I just need to text the person a list and go from there.

Always love Hawkins. Cali and Oregon torts are also easy to find and cool. Purple monster is harder to find and newer pearl berry is good but don’t see them a lot.

You think you need to chill out in the last month I’ve been selling off stuff taking up prime real estate, bought 2 battle boxes all acros from battlecorals and probably 10 Acro frags from lfs’s. But this is kinda one of those things you can’t pass up since it might not happen again.

Here’s some of my favorites from my collection that I have
Mattv rainbow envy
Arc fireworks
Rr lady in pink
Rr orange passion IMO I like it better then the SC version
Rr Pink Floyd
Rr pink caddy
Uc nightwalker
Rmf ice age
Rmf flavor parade
Poto hellcat
Rr garden of Eden
Bc lemon hammer
Gb el chumacrba
This is just some of my favorites off the top of my head. I’m a big reef raft and unusual acro guy. I still like wwc and Jason Fox acros I have them to like wwc Yoda and jf homewrecker but not my absolute favorites. Right now I’m having a smooth skin and deep water bug so I have some coming in this week.

SC Orange Passion and ORA Pearlberry are two of my favorite corals. I think these two corals look good under any light, including plain old sunlight. They are also easy to grow and are always in high demand. All of the torts are also really nice and easy to grow.

I am only into acros that need no trick lighting. WD, Homewrecker, Confetti are out for me... I might get them when they are all $40 corals like WD is around me... see how I like them then.

Here is my must-have no-trick-lighting list:
Tyree Purple Monster
Tyree Pink Lemonade
Fox Flame
ORA Pearlberry
ORA Hawkins
Mike Paletta Pink Tip
Greg Carroll Ultimate Stag (Tyree LE rename)
Copps Blueberry Miyagi
Copps Gold Millepora
Sapphire Millepora or Palmers Blue Millepora, or both
Sexy Corals Orange Passion - the others are not as good
RMF Red Devil Nasuta
RMF Red Gecko
Garf Bonsai
Upscales Microladous
RR Pink Cadillac
Joe Knows Reef's Rainbow
A nice pink or peach Millepora often with blue tips - there are MANY of these, so don't pay too much

If you have room... but these need to spread out...
Copps Green Efflo
GF Ultimate Efflo
$500 Efflo

Harder to Find, but awesome:
Westside Longhorn (Tyree LE rename)
Jason Fox Purple Blade Simplex
Pink Panther, the BC or LA one, not the WWC one.
Reefer Madness Rainbow Nasuta <- if anybody has this, send me a PM

If you can keep your N and P low and blast it with light, RR Pink Floyd gets nice and yellow and white... it can also be blah in some tanks.

Anything from ORA is nice.

Most of these are not too expensive and have long track records of performing under many conditions. The ones that do cost more have been going up in value and are easy to trade as you grow them up.
