Porcelain anemone crab bad molt

hello.

I have a porcelain anemone crab and it has jolted 3 times. First 2 were fine but the last basically left it with unusable claws. I had 2 and my other had the same thing happen on the first molt and went missing shortly after. All shrimp and everything are fine. Just wondering if anyone knows what could cause this.

I'd check your iodine levels- sounds like it might be low

Is there a test set for that? I have never heard of that

How would I add more iron ?

I started using GFO so would that decrease iron? Could using active carbon help increase it?

crap I just reread that and I see it was iodine not iron. Anything info how to dose ?

There are iodine tests to check your levels. if its low, there's iodine supplement to dose with too :)
