So my flame tail blenny has what appears to be a cut half way down his body. The "cut" goes through his top fin and half way into the flesh on his right side but only barely into the flesh on his left. The area around the "cut" is darker than the rest of the fish. He did not have it this morning but it's present now that I'm home from work. I recently got a Tomini tang and the two of them are a bit territorial with each other, but have not seem them cause physical harm to one another even now they seem fine together. Also have a banded coral shrimp, but he hasn't shown any aggression what so ever. I guess my main concern is if there might be any disease that might look like a cut? The blenny has been in my dt for about 2 months and the newest addition (tomini) for two weeks. Please advise, I'll try to get a picture.

it's really hard to tell from the picture but it looks like a scrape.....I would just keep an eye on it especially since it just showed up suddenly......is he acting normally otherwise? eating? it could have scraped up against a rock or something while engaged in a tangle with your tang....
