I have a nice toadstool that has been in my tank for a little over a week and is doing quite nicely. However, it came attached to this big stone disc that's about 4" in diameter.
I tried cutting pieces off of it with a rotary drill + cutting blade (see little chunk in the picture below), and was going to continue and remove the stone until it was just outside of the coral's "stump". However, was wondering if there might be a better way to approach this? Would trying to take a razor to the bottom of the coral, remove it from its disc, and attach it with epoxy to some dry rock work?
