Well the filters showed up, so I'll be getting the rodi unit put together in the next few weeks, plus changing out the whole home filters.

I was curious about bottom overflows and custom stands... here is the thread about that.

So... we lost one of our dogs to an aggressive bladder tumor on Feb 28 (less then 18 days from it showing up until it filled her whole bladder).

This put everything to a stop, but I've started back up and put the final coat of mud on this morning. Sanding this week, and paint in the next couple of weeks.

Like the title says... slow, but there is progress. Once the room is put together, I promise it'll go a little faster.

I am so sorry to hear that about your puppy. Last month we had a similar situation and it is so hard. We as many of the other on this community are thinking of you and your family. Sorry!

So sorry to hear about your loss :( :( It's never easy letting a lifelong friend go. I hope that you atleast find comfort in knowing you gave her the best life you could while she was here and I'm certain she loved you guys as much as you did her.

No need for explanations on the slow build, heck I've had my tank for a year and it's still dry.

Rodi setup is finally getting installed in the basement today. It will also feed an RO faucet in the kitchen for drinking water. At this point it was time to stop for the evening, it still has some leaks, and pump is not yet installed, but I was able to flush it and let it run for a little bit. I still need to figure out a spot for the drain as well. I am happy to see it dropped my TDS from 700+ to single digits (5). I did confirm tds was the same with a handheld meter. No DI resin yet either.

More time in the basement today. Got all the drinking water side in. Still need to put in the booster pump since I am on a well 30-50 psi. Tds are 4 ppm without DI.

Questions???
1. At what psi does the Asov turn the water off? Seemed to still drip even after off.
2. I have a pressure gauge on the waste... why? What should it read?
3. I bought another pressure gauge for feed pressure. Goes after the pump?
4. Pump IN from filters and OUT to membrane?

Took forever but it's all up and running minus DI. Pump installed, pressure about 75psi. Pressure switch in. No fish tank yet...so no need for DI yet. I do need to get a float valve and 32g brute cans next. Also, I need to figure out a better way to dump waste water outside vs into my septic right now.

Imagine that... floor is finally going down. I am really leaning towards the 5ft 150 where the saw is vs the cube in the corner. Also that wall is an old exterior wall pre-1915 so it's sitting on a stacked stone foundation.

Only took 3.5 years to finally get this room painted. Hope to be done painting by the end of the week.

It is not quite SW, but we did finally bring a fish or two back into the house this last December.

I really need to start looking at whether I want to get a cube for the corner of the room, or a long tank (5-7'). I like the cube tanks and how the aquascaping can make it look like a drop off, but I do love the idea of 6' long, with lots of swimming room, and trying to aquacape something similar to a shelf rock feature in a long tank.

I started looking and found my build plan and budget from 2019. Plan has not changed to much, but I have yet to check pricing. Time to start looking at used equipment.

Driftwood for the betta. Watched the TSA video with my 4 year old today and she kept saying she wants the pretty plants aka coral.

RR-150 skimmer from Reef Breeders. I have an old 55 gallon that I was going to repurpose into the sump with 1/4" glass baffles, and add a built in ATO reservoir to it.
