Back in October, I purchased a Green BTA which split about 6 weeks after I got it. Prior to the split, this guy THRIVED. But since the split, one died and the other hasn't bounced back. Among other things, the tentacles haven't grown back, leaving it to look more like a scrubbing bubble from the commercial than an Anemone. It has also shrunk considerably.
Other than that, it behaves normally; the mouth opens and closes so I know it is cycling water.
My question: As corals rely on Calcium for growth, what do BTAs rely on?
