When I first got my Hippo Tang I read a lot about them and found out they tend to wedge them selves in nooks and crannies in the rock work when they get nervous and that they tend to select a special spot in an aquarium. Sure enough my “Dory” picked out a spot in the quarantine tank and again in the display tank. Post your Hippo Tang’s special spot!

I don't have a picture because I lost my Hippo in one of my crashes. So here's my story....I was still a newbie and one night I go into the fish room with a flashlight and find my hippo wedged between the back glass and the rocks. I'm thinking it's dead and tell the wife I'll have to fish the dead hippo out of the tank in the morning. Morning comes and there's the Hippo swimming around? That night, wedged between the glass and the back rocks again. That was it's sleeping place.

Lol mine is still small (1”-1.5”) and she loves to sleep between the aquarium glass and my gyre pump. Freaks me out because there’s so much flow, but it doesn’t bother her.

Funny had mine for 2 1/2 years and had to move its spots several times because of growth spurts. Gone from the size of a quarter tp about 4 1/2 inches. Try and get a picture tomorrow at work right now
