Potassium Chloride Dip?

Had some issues with returning flesh band on a my euphyllia, and Im assuming it might be flatworm linked. While I can’t see them, I imagine they aren’t overly easy to see, so I’m going to try a dip to get rid of whatever’s stopping the flesh band returning. From what I understand, potassium chloride is a good option, but I’m also curious to see if anyone has used the stuff you can get from a pharmacy? I mean, it’s cheaper, food grade, and if it doesn’t have any additives, it should be fine, right?

Anybody got any tips or experiences on it?

I just use Loudwolf potassium chloride for a dip but would think food grade would be fine also.

If it's food grade and 100% KCL, it should be fine, but hopefully Randy sees this, and he would be able to tell you for sure

That said, I think it would be helpful to see a clear pic or two of some of the corals in question, maybe get a confirmation on what's going on before doing the KCL dip.

Yeah, if I can get a clear photo I’ll send one through. I don’t really notice any rapid recession, but it just seems like it’s not growing back very well, so I imagine it’s better safe than sorry? The KCL dip won’t cause any issues I imagine…

Sounds like you've had significant troubles since September and I don't see where anyone has asked for the basics about your tank, parameters, etc. Even if that background info isn't related, it's usually worth going over....and most of the time it does end up being related. :)
