So I have been considering dosing potassium chloride and have gone straight to looking at food grade as I have with other chemicals such as KNO3 etc.
My question isn’t about doing but about the contents of the products that seem to be sold. They seem to be:
Potassium Chloride KCI on dry basis is 99.3%
Contains anti-caking agent Na4Fe(CN)6
The anti-caking agent is a cyanide salt. Not being food grade I assume it is safe as the cyanide is bound in the chemical structure however are there conditions in our tanks that may allow it to break down.
Just through let it may be worth some research. Thanks.
