I just purchased a cleaner wrasse for my tangs. The problem I'm having is my powder blue is trying to kill the wrasse. I can't seem to stop him from doing it. Anyone have any ideas why he would do this and what to do to help? Any help would be great

They can be agressive and i don't think you can do anything except removing wrasse.

Powder blue tangs are very aggressive, how big is your powder blue?

Unfortunately the only way to stop it is remove the powder blue.

Does the cleaner wrasse constantly try to clean the pbt? Mine does that to my pbt a good bit and occasionally he will chase my cleaner wrasse a bit from time to time, but nothing major.

I just put the wrasse in there the other day. The powder blue wont leave it alone. If the wrasse shows its face the pb will chase it. It's been going on for two days it can't even get lose to clean the powder blue

The mirror trick will only work temporarily, once you remove the mirror he will be his as bad or worse in a couple days. The mirror trick works to occupy fish for new additions, but I'd the fish is aggressive before the mirror goes up the fish will be aggressive when the mirror comes down. My PBT is extremely aggressive, I've just learned not to put fish that he will kill in there anymore...but he is pretty mean to all new additions and extremely mean to my blue tang.
