Powder brown and purple tang

Hey guys I’ve had a powder brown tang in my reef tank for about 2 weeks I got a super awesome deal on a purple tang today and was told they should do fine with each other. Since adding the purple the powder brown has been harassing the purple non stop it is a 5 foot tank and there is plenty of rock work inside will they eventually get used to each other ?

You should put one of them in an observation box. Give them time to get used to one another and chill out. Otherwise the purple tang may get harassed to death.

In the meantime maybe you can put one of them in the sump if you have one.

Another thing you can try is to place a decent-sized mirror against one of the tank's glass panels. The hope is that the presence of another powder-brown in his territory will take his attention off the less-similar purple tang.
