My second post here. I’m restarting my 150g aquarium after it sat empty (but running) for 3 years. I finally got the deep sand bed out. It was oolite. I replaced with about 1 1/2 inch special grade reef argonite. I dug up some old power heads. Dang they are still too powerful and moving sand. It is two Hydor koralia magnums 3250. One on each end facing each other. I’m not going to do reef. I always wanted a puffer. What gph power heads would you go with? I’m concerned about safety too. I don’t want the puffer biting it.
This is my tank. The canopy is off right now. I’m cleaning it and laying down some more varnish on the inside. Trying to plan my lights for it too.
