Power Strip Reliability

I am looking into putting a rack-mount power strip with individual switches on my reef-setup. I see that the 8-channel american DJ strip is very common, but I found a similar model by pro-x that has 10 switches. I am assuming the innard are probably almost identical due to the similarities in all the models I have found. It is rated the same at 15 amps/1800 watts but I don't know how much I should plug into one of these. American DJ also has individual 4 switch outlets and I was wondering if I should run 3 of those, or if it would be safe putting it all on one large strip.

I'm currently running 2 ehiem 1250's, 2 ai primes (@ less than 50%), a finnex 300W heater, 2 mp10's (around 50%), an SCA-310 skimmer, a tunze 3155 ato, and a small fuge light at night when the primes are off. Would this be a fire hazard waiting to happen, or am I well under the power rating for concern? Excuse my ignorance, I went to school for mechanical, not electrical, engineering lol.

As far as I can gather the primes max out at 55 W each, the eheims around 28 W each, the skimmer pump at 28W, the MP10's at 18W each, and the heater at 300W. The ato and fuge light are negligible compared to everything else.

Gerneral rule is to plan for 80% max wattage for what the equipment is rated so stay under 1620 watts. Make sure whatever brand you buy is tested in the industry

I never use power boards although there should be no reason to limit to 80% unless it has some kind of current trip. What I do is mount a few general purpose outlets inside my cabinet with a plug end.
