I have a Biocube 32 cycling, and I'm going back and forth on powerhead placement. For now I have a single Hydor 240 and I'm not sure where to put it. Is this best placed to reinforce the general direction of flow from the return pump, or maybe opposite the tank blowing the other direction to create turbulence?

I think most people start out on the left side about halfway from front to back. Scape determines the flow pattern. I looked at your rock...yep that's where I'd try it first.

I have a 32 biocube as well and my LFS recommended putting it on the back wall and pointing it to the front of the tank so the flow kind wraps around the front glass towards the back. I just did it yesterday so I’ll let you know how it goes.

I have mine opposite the return pump to create turbulence for my corals. They seems to like the non-laminar flow.

With only 1, it would be on the side glass or back plastic wall pointed up at the surface for gas exchange.

When I ran a 29G biocube, I had 2 mp10's @ 80%, and the returns up at the surface for agitation and gas exchange.
